Writing the Stories
Time Tried to Forget
Estefania Konarek is a historical fiction writer focusing on the research and revival of Polish forgotten stories of the 19th and 20th centuries. As a citizen of the world, she brings an emotionally powerful and historically accurate cross-cultural perspective to her writing.
Estefania holds a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of International Health from Georgetown University and has over a decade of experience in contracts management, proposal writing, and conducting policy research for global organizations.
She is drawn to World War II historical fiction and untold stories of cultural displacement, shaped by her own intimate connection to the imprints of war and migration. Estefania spends her time exploring her Polish heritage, studying modern and antique intercontinental maps, and connecting with individuals who safeguard historical memory.
